FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Check out the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below. If there’s something you need more details about that isn’t mentioned here, please get in touch for more information. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

DOES MY CHILD NEED SPEECH THERAPY?

If you have any concerns about your loved one’s communication skills, we are happy to provide a 15 minute consultation via teletherapy or in person. A screening will determine if there are any weaknesses in regards to their language and communication skills. This would indicate a need for a full assessment and therapy.

WHERE CAN MY CHILD RECIEVE SPEECH THERAPY?

We believe that the best location to serve our clients is in their natural learning environment. This can mean their home, daycare, or private school.

HOW DO I CONTRIBUTE TO MY CHILD'S SPEECH THERAPY?

A child’s caregiver plays a key role in their therapy! Therapists will provide both direct services with the child, as well as indirect services where they will consult and train families in order to ensure generalization of skills.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Currently we do not bill insurance companies directly, nor do we act as a participating provider for any insurance plans. For our clients we do provide a statement of services for submission to your insurance company should you choose to request reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company with any further questions you may have regarding your coverage.

ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS?

We always welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, including occupational therapists, school-based therapists, classroom teachers, BCBAs, etc.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PRIVATE SPEECH THERAPY?

Private speech therapy allows for the flexibility and reliability that your family needs. We encourage consistent collaboration with the team, in order to ensure best treatment outcomes. You have the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with your therapist and collaborate to ensure your child is receiving the best possible care. Both you and your therapist will decide the appropriate frequency and duration of treatment time based on your child’s needs. Goal areas and targets will be developed based on both therapist and parent recommendations. Our service model allows for therapy to be geared towards your child’s individual needs and take place in their natural environment, ensuring their success!
